Shops are where makers sell on inEden
A Shop is different from a group. Founders lead groups; Vendors open Shops. A Vendor is a maker — jewelry, candles, art, apparel, printables, digital guides — with a small storefront inside inEden. Members discover Shops through the Search → Businesses lane and the trending-vendors surface in their city, then buy without leaving the app.

The Vendor bundle — $19/month
Opening a Shop is one subscription that folds three things together:
- Paid membership — everything a Paid member gets.
- Founder-subscription waiver — you don't pay separately to lead if you also run a group.
- Your Shop listing in the marketplace.
Founding-cohort pricing is $9/month for the first vendors during launch. Anyone approved as a Vendor by December 31, 2026 keeps their rate — and the fee rates below — permanently; later rate changes only apply to new sellers.
The fees, stated plainly
On every product sale:
- inEden platform fee: 5% of the product subtotal.
- Stripe processing: ~2.9% + $0.30 on the total charge.
Both come out of the sale; the rest is yours. Shipping you charge passes through to you in full. About half of what Etsy takes, and your membership is already included.
Opening a Shop
Two paths in:
- Onboarding. Pick the Vendor path at the role step when you sign up.
- Already a member. Settings → Open a shop. If you're on Paid, we swap your subscription to the Vendor bundle automatically.
Either way you accept the Seller Agreement, then submit for admin approval — Shops aren't instant, we review every applicant. Once approved, your Shop tab appears and you can list products.
Physical vs digital products
- Physical products check out in the app (Stripe). You're responsible for fulfillment and shipping, and you add tracking so the buyer can follow her order.
- Digital products are sold on the web at ineden.app/shop, not inside the iOS app.
Payouts
When carrier tracking marks an order delivered, your earnings release 24 hours later. The short hold is bought by the carrier's own scan — it's independent evidence the parcel actually arrived.
Where there's no carrier scan, the longer hold still applies: an order you mark delivered yourself, or a digital order (which has no shipment to track), releases 10 days after delivery. Adding real tracking when you ship is what gets you paid in a day instead of ten.
Released funds move into your Stripe account, and Stripe settles them to your bank on its own payout schedule.
If your listing lapses (subscription ends), your Shop drops out of Search and trending immediately, but any open orders still have to ship — a lapsed listing doesn't cancel a commitment you already took payment for.
All sales are final
inEden does not process marketplace refunds. All sales are final. If a buyer has an issue with a product, she contacts the seller directly to work it out. We're the discovery layer and the checkout rails, not the returns desk — buy from Shops the way you'd buy from an independent maker at a market.
Buying from a Shop
As a member, buying is simple: find a Shop through Search → Businesses or a trending card in your city, tap a product, and check out.
- Physical items check out in the app; you'll get tracking once the seller ships.
- Digital items are purchased at ineden.app/shop on the web.

Vendors vs Founders vs Partners
Easy to mix up, so briefly:
- Founder — leads a group (a community, class, or business community) in a city. Can also sell event tickets and digital resources. See Becoming a Founder.

- Partner — an inEden-affiliated brand hosting events under our banner. See Partners and partner events.
One person can wear more than one hat — a maker who also leads a community group, for instance.
