One short answer first
Most members will be on Paid at $17.17/month (or $171.70/year on web), with a 7-day free trial. That's the tier the product is designed around. The other tiers exist for specific reasons.
Free
Free is the welcome layer. You can:
- Build a profile.
- Browse your city's groups, events, and members.
- Receive DMs and connection requests.
- Read admin-curated devotionals.
- Use one event "trial pass" — RSVP to a single In Eden-hosted event before upgrading.
Free is intentionally light on the social features. You can be discovered; you can't initiate. That's because Friend Match and outbound DMs are the parts of In Eden that change other people's experience — we want intentionality there.
Paid — $17.17/month
Paid unlocks everything Free can't do, plus the content shelf:
- Send connection requests and DMs.
- Use Friend Match.
- Get priority surfacing in "Friends in Your City."
- Online classes library.
- Paid Founder content and the full Resource Library.
- Premium devotionals and the weekly deep devotional.
- Unlimited event RSVPs.
The 7-day free trial gives you the full Paid experience with no payment up front. If you don't continue, you go back to Free.
Refunds: no refunds on monthly. On annual, a 7-day no-questions refund window.
Premium
Premium is scaffolded at launch but doesn't yet have its own differentiation — it's Paid plus a badge plus early access to new features. We're building the real Premium differentiation in v1.1. If that sounds like a placeholder, it is, and we'd rather be honest than fake a tier.
Founding Member — $7.17/month or $499 lifetime
Founding Member is limited to 200 at launch. Choose $7.17/month or $499 lifetime during the window (May 17 – June 30, 2026), or earn lifetime free by referring 5 members. If you cancel founding monthly, you can rejoin later at the regular $17.17/month member rate.
It includes:
- Lifetime Paid access. Never billed again.
- A permanent Founding Member badge on your profile.
- Early access to new features 30 days before general release.
- The private Founding Members message board across cities.
After June 30, 2026, the Founding Member tier closes — permanently. The badge is finite by design.
Founders adding extra groups
If you're a Founder leading more than one group, the first group is included in Paid. Each additional group adds to your subscription:
- Each additional group after your first: +$7/month (first month collected when you submit)
If you lead four or more groups, we may offer a $29.99/month studio bundle — reach out from Settings → Help when you're ready.
Need a break without losing your account?
You don't have to cancel just to step back. Your account, profile, and conversations stay whether or not you're on a paid plan — dropping to Free keeps all of it. And if it's the noise rather than the membership you need a break from, you can turn off discoverability (Settings → Social permissions and activity), pause Friend Match (Settings → Profile visibility), or snooze notifications for up to 30 days (Settings → Notifications).
How to cancel
Because Apple owns iOS billing, canceling happens in Apple → Settings → Subscriptions → In Eden — Settings → Subscription in the app links you straight there. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep Paid access until then. After it lapses you drop to Free; nothing is deleted.
